What started out as mucking around in the evenings had gotten out of control &#8211; we called ourselves &#8216;<a href=\"\/fluff\/?s=crappy+cartoons\">Crappy Cartoons<\/a>&#8216; and found ourselves developing a new animation series for TV.<\/p>\n<p>It was essentially <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/M*A*S*H_(TV_series)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">M*A*S*H<\/a> for kids but instead of incoming helicopters a dump truck would turn up and in the tradition of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bagpuss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Bagpuss<\/a> any discarded broken toys would be rescued and fixed. Each episode we&#8217;d learn how the toys got broken and why they were thrown away. I did all the character designs for the show. We made a pilot that I was never really happy with but I did make a little video introducing each of the main characters&#8230; which I was very proud of &#8211; I&#8217;ve dug it out &#8211; although I could only find a super low resolution version of it. Andrew did the sound edit &#8211; I learnt the basics of After Effects. Oh yeah, the show was called &#8220;Dumped!&#8221; &#8211; The espionage plants were gonna be so much fun&#8230; one of them was going to have the voice of Roger Moore and the other Sean Connery!<\/p>\n<p><em>I really hope the <a href=\"https:\/\/thebetaband.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Beta Band<\/a> are cool with me sharing this video &#8211; \u00a0it was never meant for broadcast, only as a pitch. We never got permission to use the track &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NY4EMUzp1ZQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Round the Bend<\/a>! I&#8217;m a massive fan! I was really excited to see they&#8217;ve just re-pressed <a href=\"https:\/\/betaband.tmstor.es\/product\/161059\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Three E.P.&#8217;s<\/a> which will be available on Friday 11th July 2025 !
