Transferring a website property to a new Analytics USER ACCOUNT

•     User Account – This is your Google account.
•     Account – This is the account that you will be transferring.
•     Property – This is the website.
•     Profile – This is a view of your analytics data.

HIT admin and ADD user to the PROFILE of your choice – we don’t want the new user to access everything – just the profile of their property. Once transferred be sure to login their
account to check that the only have access to the correct property and not the entire account.

That’s it! If all went well, when the new user logs in to Google Analytics, they will see the account and all of the data. After they’ve confirmed that it’s all working, for security they should remove your email on that same “Users” tab.

TO DELETE account

To delete an Analytics account:

1. Remove the Analytics tracking code from all your web pages or from your app.
2. Click Admin at the top of any Analytics page.
3. Use the Account menu to select the account that you want to delete.
4. Click Account Settings.
5. Click Delete this account

where do I put the CODE?

Sometimes it’s in the THEME options. (fluffytech.co.uk, blog.clientearth.org) sometimes it’s in the HEADWAY options.
